This book may allow some people to overcome their fear of a vengeful, cruel God that they have been taught to believe in childhood. It may encourage some people to speak out when they hear religious leaders employ their gods to incite cruelty and hatred.

The author believes that harmful, intolerant religious beliefs, which are the causes of so much strife and warfare, must be contained. If there is to be peace in the world, religions must be kept in the churches, synagogues and temples.
