In 1859, Charles Darwin
published a vastly important work: On the Origin of Species
by
means of Natural Selection. For centuries, man had been seen
as a created species, distinct from any
other animal. Then, Darwin persuasively argued that mankind
and other species are descended from common
ancestors. His theory of "natural selection," also known as
"survival of the fittest," explains how life evolved
through natural processes. By the 1950s, most scientists
accepted the theory. However, it upset many who
believed that life was created by a supernatural Goda debate
which is perpetuated today.

In Surrounded by Idiots, Mike
Gallagher, one of the top radio talk show hosts in America, takes us to
the front lines of the unprecedented cultural and political war
confronting all decent Americans.
The 2004 election was a watershed moment in our nation's history, and
while it was shocking to the left to see so many red states on the
electoral map, to conservatives it was just affirmation of what they'd
known all along - conservatives are the mainstream, and liberals are the
fringe.

features that would blight the conduct of ideal science

From the outset of his career Churchill was
ambitious and eager for action. He achieved fame and popularity through his
dispatches from the Boer War, and in 1900 was elected MP for Oldham. Until the
outbreak of war in 1939 Churchill was loved and loathed in equal measure.
Critics and supporters alike recognised his vision, but often questioned his
judgement. In the thirties, his out-of-touch views on subjects such as Indian
nationalism meant that his warnings on German militarism were not taken
seriously.
